Dan Franklin Smith, who resides in New York City, recently returned from Germany where he performed in Kurt Weill Zentrum in Dessau and the Lucas Cranach Hof in Wittenberg. In the United States he has appeared at such venues as the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Cleveland Museum's Distinguished Artist Series, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City. Mr. Smith's work as a solo artist has been described as "breathtakingly beautiful . . . .
